Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, as the latest installment in the series, continues Zombie mode that players love most. In this mode, players will join Requiem Crew in Heart of Dark Aether to face zombie enemies in order to retrieve the missing fragments of their souls that appeared at the beginning of Ashes of the Damned.
Since these zombie enemies have fixed attack patterns, their battle situation and the outcome of the battle are predictable. However, it’s important to note that the types of zombies you encounter and the difficulty of the battles are randomized, so you might need an enemy overview guide and some BO7 Bot lobbies for sale to help you distinguish them.
To help all players easily defeat all in-game enemies and successfully complete Easter Egg Quests, IGGM has compiled a list of all special and elite zombies in Black Ops 7’s Zombies mode, along with strategies for dealing with them. After all, it’s always good to be prepared.
Special Zombies
Let’s start with the special zombies that are easier to kill.
1. Uber Klaus Core
Uber Klaus will appear in Ashes of the Damned, and you can reach that location via Necrofluid Gauntlet Quest. Although Uber Klaus is an Elite enemy in itself, the core ejected from its mech body after it is killed is also considered a special zombie.
Fortunately, they all share the same weak point: the torso. Therefore, you only need to use Napalm Burst and Cryo Freeze on its torso to complete the challenge, while keeping moving to avoid its area-of-effect projectile attacks.
2. Doppelghast
You can find the special zombie Doppelghast in Cursed Mode’s Relic Trials or Vandorn Farm Survival. However, keep in mind that you can only encounter them after completing 40 rounds. If you have a strong need for the rewards it offers and enough time, you can farm it.
Based on players’ experience in the previous game, to defeat it, you need to have Light Mend. It has not yet been released in Bo7 and will be available on December 4th with the release of Season 1. So if you encounter it before then, please run away as soon as possible and try to challenge it again after you have this Ammo Mod.
However, it’s worth noting that any loadout requires a period of practice; otherwise, attempting to use Light Mend without proper preparation will probably lead to your demise. It’s recommended that you buy CoD Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies at IGGM.com to familiarize yourself with the weapons, mods, and firing modes, which is crucial in Zombies mode.

Once you’re ready, focus your firepower on its two heads to inflict fatal damage during the battle. At the same time, you still need to keep moving as much as possible, because they are very fast and will relentlessly pursue you. But be careful not to get too close, as they can explode and cause a very severe slowing effect.
3. Shock Mimic
Like the previous special zombie, Shock Mimic will also spawn in Cursed Mode Relic Trials, with a higher probability of appearing in Lawyer’s Pen Relic Trials. When you encounter Shock Mimics, you might be drawn to its glowing mouth, and that’s exactly what you’d expect – that’s its biggest weakness!
After targeting this very obvious weak point, use Brain Rot to launch a fierce attack on its mouth. Similarly, maintain a safe distance from the zombie during the fight, as it will use ranged attacks, first pulling you in for a quick attack, then knocking you back for more damage.
Elite Zombies
Next, IGGM will introduce you to the elite zombie enemies, which present a slightly more challenging challenge.
1. Zursa
Zursa is the first elite enemy players encounter in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, making its debut in Ashes of the Damned once you have successfully cleared 16 rounds. In addition to its standard appearance, Zursa also emerges as a boss enemy within Ashes of the Damned POIs in Survival Mode, offering a tougher combat challenge and the opportunity for greater rewards.
If you want it to appear earlier, you can go to Zaya Cosmodrome and complete Skulls step in Main Easter Egg Quest. If you want to get into this encounter quickly, make sure you have a weapon option in your inventory that can equip Napalm Burst, as this is one of the essential tools to complete this challenge.
Although this elite enemy doesn’t have any obvious weaknesses, you can detonate it first and then keep shooting at it to inflict fatal damage. If you see it releasing a horde of Zombees, keep moving and eliminate them with high area-of-effect damage before they get close. Afterward, use Psych Grenade to deal significant damage to Zursa itself, which will briefly make it friendly.
2. Uber Klaus
Last to introduce is Uber Klaus, who, like its core counterpart, appears in Ashwood Sheriff’s Office in challenges of Ashes of the Damned from round eight onwards. After defeating it in this office, the encounter is not over. You will find it again in the west corner of Janus Towers Plaza, where your battle with this elite enemy has just begun.
Like its core, Uber Klaus is also terrified of Napalm Burst and Cryo Freeze hitting its two glowing weak points on its shoulders, which would easily destroy its shield and deal unpredictable damage. Afterwards, concentrate firepower on his exposed core and completely destroy it.
Still be mindful of maintaining distance to avoid his melee and ranged attacks, especially when he stops to fire a three-round barrage. Also, Uber Klaus’s boost-jump ability will rapidly reduce the safe distance between you and him, posing a significant threat.
The above is a summary from IGGM of the special and elite zombie enemies included in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. According to reliable sources, three brand-new zombie maps will be released with Season 1 on December 4th, offering even more challenging zombie options. Enjoy the game!
